Silver Creek Specialty Meats- Setting a New Standard for Old-Fashioned Quality
We process boneless venison from the current hunting season only. Venison meat from previous years will not be accepted. Venison is accepted Mid October through Mid March. The silver registration tag is required for all venison that is brought into Silver Creek Specialty Meats. No meat from CWD zones (red registration tag) or from out of state is accepted at Silver Creek Specialty Meats unless there are test results presented with the registration tag proving that the deer killed was not infected with CWD. Processing takes approximately 8-12 weeks to complete after the meat has been dropped off at the processing facility.
You will receive a phone call letting you know your order is ready. Please make sure the phone number you give on the order sheet is correct. If there is a change in phone numbers please contact the office at Silver Creek Specialty Meats and inform them of the change. Once you are called it is very important you get here as soon as possible to pick up your order. All orders are paid for when you pick them up. We accept cash, credit, and checks. We are open for pick ups and drop off Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.
Silver Creek Specialty Meats was established in 1989 when Dr. William Kramlich and his wife Dorothy purchased the meat division of R-Line Foods, Inc. a division of JM Smucker Co. located in Ripon, Wisconsin.
Dr. William Kramlich is one of the country's foremost experts in meat & sausage technology. He is a past director of operations & president of Hillshire Farms of New London.
The family business now located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is managed by sons Bill and Tom who continue the tradition of specializing in producing quality old fashioned products which derive their unique flavor from quality ingredients, special seasoning, recipes, natural smoking processes, and eliminating MSG or other additives.
The company has continued to grow with the purchase of Meyer Sausage Co. of Oshkosh and Leroy Sausage Co. of Leroy, Wisconsin (Jim's Blue Ribbon sausage). In addition production of products from Fred Busch Corp. of Chicago began in 2002 with the purchase and move to the Oshkosh location. Production of Heid's Meats also began in 2002.
